Educational
Workshops |
All classes integrate socialization, breathing, awareness,
getting connected (grounding), exploring energy levels, massage for
desensitization. Teaching our dogs in the
present moment makes learning easier. It a great way to teach
children how to calm down and focus.
Take
advantage of our 1-2-3 Re-Join Discount Advantage (RDA)
Teams rejoin often with new pups, older dogs,
adopted dogs
or to enjoy quality time with their canine companions. 1-2-3 RDA is a
way for us to honor them while making it
more cost effective. This does not
apply to private and/or behavior counseling.
1-2-3 Re-Join Discount applies
after you complete 1-full session in Level 1, Level 2, Level 3,
Challenging & Dog Sports.
Re-Join 1 = 10%, 2 = 20% - 3 & Beyond = 30% off.
Guidelines
for Safety & Peace of Mind
ALL TEAMS, please be considerate & enter the sanctuary and enter
through the double vinyl
fence doors. Parking is sensibly located off-road, accommodating
approximatley 15 vehicles. Pull into the driveway, and park facing
right towards the smaller fence..
10/5:
Be aware of what is going on around you within 10-feet. Within
5-feet, ask before pawing into someone's space. All dogs need to be
on leash, no flexi-leashes please.
Explore, be pro-active and aware of your surroundings. Be respectful
of other people, children and their pets. Most dogs and humans have a
spatial bubble.
RESPECT IT until you get to know each other, making this a pleasant
learning experience.
Adopted dogs must be assessed before joining a group class unless they are
under 6-months and/or if you have concerns about group integration.
There is a fee for assessment of $1.00 per minute, $50.00 per our --
Behavior Coaching.
Pups as young as 4-months are accepted into Level 1
Beginnings with approval from their Primary Veterinarian. All dogs must be
healthy and have wellness checks, especially in an environment where there
will be multiple dogs & families.
Socialization precedes classes, then flows into warm-ups,
centering and training. Puppies have 15-20 minutes to engage with other
pups/dogs in a safe, supervised environment. These essential
interactions teach communication skills.
Be mindful that dogs are dogs --Canis Lupus Familiaris! There
are
no guarantees
of positive dog-meet-dog interactions.
Signals and cues from other dogs change the dynamics and
responses too. 10/5 -- be aware of what's goingon around you within
10 feet. Before entering someone other's spatial bubble -- usually
within 5-feet -- ask. It's always okay to go the other way.
They need to be introduced in a broad range of surroundings
while being guided by their pack leader (you).
Our "energy flow", and how dogs read our
emotions, makes a
difference.
We
invite you to call
603-635-DOGS-3647
for more
information about our programs that are making a difference by
bringing people & pets together to enhance well-being and
education
through awareness, pet-assisted therapy and canine-assisted
learning.
